So much has been going on, where to start.... We'll start with the best news, a pregnancy! One of my most favourite people in the whole world had her dreams come true last week. After four long years LeFiesty is pregnant! It's such wonderful news, I'm so excited for her. She's having trouble believing it I think, although after the countless HPT's and two + blood tests it's got to be sinking in.
What's next? Ahh my boys! I'm actually in a state of denial at the moment when it comes to my little munchkins. My big boy Brock turns 5 in 8 days!! I cannot believe it, it seems like only yesterday that I first held him in my arms. These days I'm lucky if I get him to sit still long enough for a cuddle. He's been having a great time at kindy, learning all sorts of things.
Jack turned 5 months old this week! I don't know where the time has gone. It just doesn't seem like that long, but at the same time it feels like he's been with us forever. He's started solids. I was planning to hold of until he was 6 months old but for some reason, I decided to try him on some rice cereal about two weeks ago. He seems to be enjoying it. So far he's had rice cereal, apple, carrot and sweet potato. He absolutely loves the carrot and sweet potato. Next week we're going to try sweet corn.
I'm doing ok I guess, been struggling a bit with thoughts of my m/c lately. I'm not sure why, but I'm trying to push through them. Other than that I've been doing a bit of sewing lately. I discovered how to make my own BabyLegs style leg warmers. They turned out great and look even better on Jack. I've also started on a new nappy stash for Jack. He's outgrown his BB's so I decided to have a go at making them myself and it wasn't that hard actually. So it's going to save us even more money! I'm really seeing how much money we're wasting at the moment with having to buy sposies so often. I can't believe I'm a breastfeeding, cloth nappying mama LOL I would never have thought it. Well I hoped that BF would work out better this time, but could not see myself doing cloth nappies. I must admit though a strong reason for continuing to do both is the moeny factor, it's just so much cheaper. I love that I don't have to spend an extra $50 a week for nappies and formula! Maybe this point might benefit my argument for a third child......Hmmm will have to bring that up with the husband.
Any hoo, here's a couple of pics of my boys and my latest sewing achievements. Hopefully it won't be as long until my next blog post.
